Attending La petite école has given my son a “new lease” on learning French…..he was struggling at school…. once he started attending Shannon’s class he was at ease and confident. After the first session with Shannon he said “Thank you Mommy, that is just what I needed”.

We have no French in our family, so enrolling Tess into French club seemed logical to help her improve her competency. Little did we expect her to love it so much – the conversation, work sheets, art work, plays and games, all in French. Tess now so enjoys speaking French that this summer she has asked to attend a week long summer camp in Quebec all in French. Thank you Shannon, not only for making up for the lack of French exposure at home, but for moving her ahead in a relaxed and fun setting.

Shannon, I wanted to let you know that I got the highest mark in my whole Grade 9 year!! You always explain things so well and I really appreciate all that you have done. Thanks so much!
Spencer Gillis, West Point Grey Academy-Grade 10

He got 100% on his last test, which you helped him study for!!!

Quite simply, our daughter loves French because of Mme Shannon Bourbonnais! We found Shannon in Grade 7 and, much to our delight, and surprise, our daughter became excited about French. More importantly, within one year of attending "La petite école", and upon entry to high school, our daughter was placed in an Advanced French class receiving marks in the high 80's! There are good teachers and then there are great teachers and we consider Shannon to be one of the best! We feel very fortunate to have found her and consider her a vital part of 'the team' in our daughter's education.

My five year old loves French at La petite école! It is so much fun to catch her reciting lines from the latest play they are learning with gestures and all! I am amazed how much fun she is having and how quickly she is learning French too.
Liisa House, mother of Ciara, who attends Kindergarten at Family Montesorri

Thank you, Shannon -- Lila said she's LOVES your class and never ever wants to miss it. She actually asked if you will teach her in university too (!?)
Shelly Rosenblum, mother of Lila 6 years old, who attends Kindergarten at UBC

...Isabella is so into your class, she talks about it all of the time and wants to keep taking it! Thanks also for making it a very fun learning experience. We will continue with your class throughout the years.
